So, as you may have seen in my For Sale thread, I'm trying to get rid of most of my guitar equipment so that I can build a Bass Rig for a tour I have in
Autumn. I have the Laney 2x10 that I bought off of Ebay about 4 years ago. I opened it up when I bought it to make sure there were actually some speakers
inside it, and I have opened it up again now to see whether or not I could use it for Bass, and if not how easy it would be to put some Bass Speakers in as a
cheap alternative whilst I get the capital together for my GT200.
So I opened it up and saw this;
Now, Im not an expert, but is there one too many wires?
The speakers are both different;
I've been using the 8ohm output on the amp, and now seeing how this is wired, Im thinking I should have been using the 16.
That aside, my questions are; Is this correctly wired? I cannot actually find the correct Laney product code for it, I think it may be this, http://www.laney.co.uk/show_prod.php?prod=gs210ve However, the front badge is different as are the speakers and the jack on the rear.
Can I use it for Bass safely? If not is it straightforward to swap Bass Speakers into it?
Thanks for any help, my knowledge of the Amp side of things is really really limited, so wanted some advice before I either blow myself up or blow the speakers.
