Logo Design Help

Does anybody know of any good Logo Design companys out there? A very drunken chat at Glasto has led to my best mate and I toying with the idea of setting up a record label/ promotion company. Primarily we're looking for some sort of logo and since I have the design skills of a donkey, we're looking for some outside assistance. Many thanks in advance.

Sand bags?

I want to get a few sand bags, mainly for weighting down mic stands, but I can imagine they'll be useful for lots of things.

However, I cannot find a supplier. Ideally I'd like some I can fill myself, and with a strap or hook/clip to keep them in place.

Anyone know any suppliers?

Alternatively, I may get the missus to knock some up, but I don't know what type of material to use, so again suggestions would be welcome.

Any band game for a split 12" record?

Hey all,

Any band want to release something on one side of a 12" 33rpm vinyl? (CD too, but I'm not really concerned with that)

My band (its slow, heavy rock/doom...guitar is all Matamp!) Catatomic is about done recording what we planned as one side of a 12" record. It'll be self released by us, we've researched all the pressing details and things like that. It'll be done right, and professional. It'll be our first official release.

Over the last few years I have been experimenting quite a bit with pickups, pots, caps etc. Well, I feel that I'm near the end of this journey, and I'm wanting to do a final tidy up on my guitars. To date, I have been using cloth wire, and it's frayed and messy now. So, I'm wanting to rewire with Teflon stranded cable.

What gauge should I use? Where can I get it (preferably in the UK).

Also, any idea where I can get these without the shipping from the...

Hi, Im looking to purchase a splitter van that I can use to transport my band and gear around with but also hire out to other bands should they need the use of it. Now the insurance for just me is proving easy to find but Im having serious difficulty findiing anyone who will cover me for hiring it out to others. Does anyone know where I should be looking? Or the names of a few companies? There are loads of people out there in this line of work so I assume there must be at least a few...

Well, it had to happen. An angry neighbour came knocking my door last week. Where I live at the moment has walls like paper, so I really had it coming.

So, until I move house I need a nice practice recording solution.

So, I have tried Pods, GNX's and they just don't sound or feel right to me. Anything using headphones wont work either, I just hate doing that. So, I want to tame the sound, and listen on my studio monitors.

I have experimented...

I've already spoken to Hayden about His really fantastic Bulldog PAF's and think that's the way to go, anyone got experience of WCR's, Wolftone, SD Antiquitys' or that sort of thing..before I make My decision ? cheers

Anyone see the show? Looks like Matt was using Marshalls and Orange amps, some vintage Orange Matamp cabs and head, and an old Master Volume Orange head as well. Pretty cool. Guess they have a DVD coming out??? Only caught a few clips on Youtube and a few pics on Flickr.

Hammond Organs?

Do any of you guys know Hammond organs. I want one, and it seems like the B3 is the oine to have, but of course it's expensive, big & heavy. So, I'm looking for something with the same tones, but in a smaller (price/size) package.

I have read that the spinets are the way to go, but the only ones for sale in Spain are advertised with model numbers I don't recognise. I suspect that the sellers are reading the wrong info, from the boxes

help repairing an Ashdown

Hi everybody, I've got an Ashdown amb400h I need to repair. I think one of the transistors in the output stage is buggered as it's melted and sparks when the amp is on! The actual part on the schematic is a BUZ906P, my question is can I just change one, or do I have to change all 6?
