I recieve my GT1 yesterday. With shaken hands I opened the box and revealed the VOID. I was pleased with the look of it. Very impressive. Well, the faceplate wasn't installed as well as it should be. The holes in the faceplate weren't in the same place as in the amp, causing the faceplate to bend and almost crack near the holes. I assume that I will get a new faceplate without the holes and then I'll drill the holes exactly to right places. I'm new here and am just curious about MAtamps custom builds.

I've often wondered about having a Combo similar to a B-15 built but just better.

Having found matamps to be great amps by using them at my local rehearsal studio I heard they build custom one-offs.

I found out power scaling kits at london power.
Does any of you have some experience with those kits are they easy to install?
Can you also confirm the C7 is a cathode-bias amp?
Is it possible to find the schematics of the C7 to find out where the kit should be installed.

First of all- all the red indicator lights flicker - and sometimes don't come on at all. That may help with the next problem?

After about 5 mins of playing (on the 2nd channel - full power mode) the 5a fuse popped. Just before popping, the amp made a couple quick clicking, fuse tripping type sounds - then shut off. I'm looking for a Matamp head (sitting on a cab)? Taken from directly in front of the amp. Preferably an S2000 or something in the standard black and lloydloom colours.

In full power (triode?) mode, there's a fizzy "static" noise on top of the signal whenever I pluck the strings. It's apparent at all levels, clean to overdrive. Sounds kinda like a broken transistor on top of the distortion. It's only apparent when I play, as if the preamp is overloading.
